In response to a number of hits looking for info on QTFairuse and iTunes 8.x, here's the best information I have.
QTFairUse
QTFairuse is no longer being developed. The last available release is 6.2.5, with configuration data for iTunes 7.5.0.20. Configuration data for earlier releases is included. This release is available from the usual sources - search Google for 'QTFairuse 6.2.5' and have a copy of BitTorrent to hand.
You can still get iTunes Version 7.3.2 from Apple. It's listed at the bottom of the iTunes 8 download page as 'Windows 2000 users'
Requiem
Requiem is the product under development. You can get it from the same sources as QTFairuse (search Google for 'Requiem 1.8.2'). It requires iTunes 7.6.2 or later, up to iTunes 8.0.1. At the time I post this Requiem does not work with iTunes 8.0.2 or later. If you've upgraded to 8.0.2 you'll need to downgrade to an earlier version before you run Requiem. Remember to Deauthorize before downgrading.
[Edit]
Apparently, if you can get to a combination of Requiem and iTunes that works, backup your SC Info folder. You'll find this at

My best advice is to buy your music DRM free in the first place. I'm going to try and get a list of sites selling DRM free music together with their areas of operation. Watch this space.

- Mac: /Users/Shared/SC Info/
